So what’s the difference between a wet and dry vacuum and a regular one?

The container of a wet and dry vacuum is usually made of plastic or stainless steel. The motor creates a vacuum pressure that sucks in coarse debris. The filter is designed to withstand dust from sawing or sanding work.

When liquid is vacuumed up, the machine detects the water level and automatically shuts off the airflow when it reaches a critical point.

More advanced models are often equipped with drain outlets, remote control, and a blowing function. These models tend to come with a higher price tag than the simpler ones without those features.
